Ocean County Communities Against
Tobacco Coalition is a collaborative of community-based organizations, schools,
municipal agencies and concerned citizens joined together with a common mission
to effect behavioral, social and environmental change regarding tobacco issues
within our communities.
The goals of the CAT coalition are:
• Reducing the number of youth who begin smoking.
• Reducing the public’s exposure to environmental tobacco smoke.
• Promoting programs that help adults and youth quit smoking.
• Providing tobacco prevention and control programs to diverse and underserved
populations.
Collectively, coalition members offer a wide range of tobacco prevention,
intervention and treatment programs as well as resources. Grants and training
activities are provided to support and develop coalition projects. For more
information, or to become involved in the coalition, contact the agency in your
area. You can use this website to contact us by email.
